Todgha Gorge
The tourist activity of the city of Tinghir is mainly known by the Todgha Gorge, a spectacle offered by nature in an unusual setting. These cliffs formed after a fault between two mountain masses, let pass the wadi Todgha, taking sources at different points. Take your way and go towards the adventure, the hike in the gorges will let you discover the beauty of nature. Kasbah of Glaoui
Tinghir is known by its Kasbahs, among which we find that of Pacha el Glaoui. Located on a rocky promontory, the kasbah constitutes one of the residences of the former Caïd of Marrakech at the time of the French protectorate. At that time, the Glaoui had taken the French as his allies against Morocco, something that had given him several enriching advantages. But as soon as the country regained its independence, it soon lost all its assets, including the Kasbah. The fortress is built on a wall high enough and thick enough to protect the Kasbah against possible intrusions. Today, this monument has a great historical and architectural value. Being located in a high place, the site has a view on a grandiose landscape overlooking the city of Tinghir, but unfortunately does not offer access to visitors because of its dilapidated state.
